Product Description:

PopCopy is a revolutionary way of copying and pasting. It's so useful, you'll want to marry it.

PopCopy 2 was written from the ground up to be the most useful thing you can put on a Mac.

You know that sickening feeling when you've copied something to the clipboard, gone to paste it into another app, and then realized that you had copied something else to the Clipboard? PopCopy aims to fix that, and build upon the idea. Any images, text, or files you copy into the clipboard will go into the MenuBar. You can pull these back up by choosing it in the MenuBar, or with a hotkey combination you choose yourself. Try it out, and you will fall in love with it.

Check out the promotional video on the PopCopy webpage, popcopy.net.

PopCopy Troubleshooting ReportLost Reg, Developer MIA - Version: 2.3, 7/23/2008 05:49PM PST

I know I bought PopCopy but after a system rebuild I cannot find the registration information. Really thought a lot of it and like the product. I emailed the developer to see if we could figure out where the registration was and no reply. Checked the website which was nice and there is no web site any longer.

If the product is going to die, then maybe it would be good to provide a free SN for all the parties that find it in its grave. It still works and while there are a couple of bugs, it is one of those "gotta have it" utilities.

(sigh)

PopCopy CommentaryGood Idea but there's NO WAY TO REGISTER it. - Version: 2.3, 2/26/2008 04:53PM PST

Got it free from MacWorld giveaway. I can use such a program but there's no way to register it. The developer site's nonexistent.

Also, during the trial period, every five copies and it throws up a nagging "buy me" screen. Hey, I would if there was a way.

PopCopy runs fine on the iMac but will not mount on my G4 iBook with OS X 10.4xx If that isn't enough, it won't trash because it's running but where?? It doesn't show on the drive and won't quit.

Fuggetaboutit.

PopCopy ReviewPopcopy uber alles!!! - Version: 2.3, 12/12/2007 02:20AM PST

I've tried most of the other "multi-clipboarders" and I couldn't find better: just set the shortcut you wanna use to call it, and with the same shortcut circle thru the various items you previously copied. No need to run with the mouse to the menu (actually I wish I could throw that menu away...) or to some panel, as in the others. The best improvement the author could do would be the ability to use cmd-V, to make it absolutely use-transparent.
N.B.: I use it exclusively to copy text, and for this use it's perfect!
I agree that it's a bit expensive for an add-on
