Server Siren ReviewLooks nice but is not reliable - Version: 1.1, 3/9/2008 07:09AM PST

The application looks really nice. But I cannot recommend it due to 3 major issues:

- my server was 2 times definitely down and Server Siren continued reporting "Successful connection. Server is active" and a response time within the usual range.
- I could Server siren not configure to send me a email. My setup was like described but it did not work.
- the log is only saved to disk on regular quit and is lost in case of a crash. Due to a power outage I lost the log of 3 days.

I contacted the developer twice but did not get a response.

Server Siren Reviewdon't get server siren if you want to know whether your site is down - Version: 1.1, 10/21/2007 04:27PM PST

bought the software, installed it entered my server name which was down at the time but server showed up in server siren as online (even though it was down and could not be pinged)

Server siren then quit and displayed strange behavior.

Emailed developer 6 days ago - NO response yet

seems to loose all server setting after every restart

good idea but can not recommend it, kicked my self that I bought it without thoroughly testing it.

Also SMS notification only available for US not for OZ

Server Siren ReviewGet Server Siren to keep an eye on your sites! - Version: 1.0, 5/21/2006 09:44PM PST

I've been using this program since it was beta and it just keeps getting better. The Developer's been very responsive to input and suggestions!

Server Siren does just what I need to monitor all the different websites I have to take care of. Server Siren has great configuration options for notification, especially at this price. Foggy Noggin for the win!
