Product Description:

1Password is a Password Manager that uniquely brings you both Security and Convenience. It is the only program that provides Anti-Phishing protection and goes beyond password management by adding Web Form Filling and Automatic Strong Password Generation. All your confidential information, including passwords, identities, and credit cards, is kept in one secure place provided by Apple's OS X Keychain. 1Password browser extensions support Safari, Camino, Firefox, OmniWeb, DEVONagent, NetNewsWire, Netscape Navigator, and Flock. All browser extensions share the data stored in the keychain which means you never need to manually copy your passwords between browsers or from the password manager to a browser ever again! 1Password has received numerous awards, including 4.5 mice from Macworld magazine, MacLife Editors pick, and was the Pick of Week on MacBreak Weekly by both Leo Laporte and Merlin Mann.

What's new in this version:

  • CHANGED Changed automatic updates to be enabled by default. If desired, this can be disabled in the Preferences > Update screen.
  • CHANGED Changed 1Password application and browser extensions to not rely on OS X login keychain when Agile Keychain format is used. Specifically, the "Channel Code" entry in the login keychain is no longer required.
  • CHANGED Changed Firefox 1Password menu so that the menu appears on mouse-down instead of mouse-up.
  • CHANGED Making sure Fill Last Generated Password shows Unlock Prompt if necessary; also avoids triggering OS X Keychain unlock prompt.
  • CHANGED Added extra validation to prevent a benign JavaScript error from being logged in Firefox that happens on some websites with Framesets.
  • CHANGED Improved logging when Agile Keychain fails to decrypt an item.
  • CHANGED Changed Diagnostics report to no longer include invalid Safari code signatures in the Summary; now logging encryption key ids for Agile Keychain; removed superfluous error messages; now properly handling paths with spaces.
  • CHANGED Old Diagnostics Reports are now removed before generating a new report to prevent potential confusion.
  • CHANGED Added validation checks to Diagnostics Report to ensure ruby is installed and notify user if it doesn't exist in any of the standard locations.
  • CHANGED Added validation to Automatic Update system to verify the zip file was properly downloaded and is not corrupted.
  • CHANGED The Print feature now includes Wallet items.
  • CHANGED 1Password can now save Logins for pages that are missing HTML FORM elements.
  • FIXED Fixed problem where multiple Unlock windows could be shown when using the Agile Keychain.
  • FIXED Fixed problem with Login location being set incorrectly during editing if top level domain was changed.
  • FIXED Now correctly restoring the state of checkboxes when filling the Login.
  • FIXED Improved Password History to not truncate long URLs.
  • FIXED Partially fixed problem with not being able to login to Blizzard websites using Firefox browser.
  • FIXED Made sure the unlocking sound plays only once when starting 1Password and the keychain is already unlocked.
  • FIXED Fixed problem that happened in Add Wallet Item window when clicking Add with no item type selected.
  • FIXED Automatic backup will now abort if the keychain files are not available. For example, the keychain could be stored on a volume that was dismounted before the backup had a chance to run.
  • FIXED When adding Wallet Items the Add button now properly becomes inactive when no selection is made.
  • FIXED Resolved 1Password application crash that could happen in rare circumstances.
  • FIXED Resolved problem that prevented disabling 1Password shortcut menu in browsers.
  • FIXED Fixed problem in diagnostics script happening when Agile Keychain does not exist.

1Password ReviewA must have! - Version: 3.0.1, 11/27/2009 12:55AM PST

I wanted to let you know how glad I am using 1Password 3!

I am a recent Mac switcher, and used RoboForm on Windows XP.

I choosed 1Password because it allowed me to import my datas from RoboForm as simple as 2 clicks...

Then I bought 1Password 3 because Agile currently offers 1Password for iPhone...

So many thanks again, I am delighted!

Been using 1P since version 2, and v3 is even better, kudos to the devs!

Software licenses are a nice addition, browser support is still great, interface is a perfect mac experience, with search and whatnot.

Being able to carry your keychain in a flash drive and view it via the web interface (which feels a lot like the native app) in windows or linux (and of course on another mac) is just perfect.

Thank you Agile Web Solutions, for another version of this great piece of software.

Cheers,
Marcelo.
