Product Description:

Power Save Mac uses non-disruptive computer energy management to ensure workstations are available when system resources are required, while conserving power during productivity downtimes. With Power Save Mac, computers can be configured to shut down, start up, sleep, and wake based upon CPU, disk, and application activity. The application activity feature is particularly useful if you would like to prevent energy management from taking place whenever a certain program is running.

Power Save Mac integrates seamlessly with Apple Remote Desktop (ARD) and third-party management utilities, allowing administrators to easily deploy their power saving configuration package enterprise-wide. Power Save Mac even has the ability to generate detailed reports outlining workstation-level energy consumption levels and associated costs savings both before and after deploying Power Save Mac.

What's new in this version:

  • Resolved issue where the ARD command dontCPUAutoCancelIfAboutThreshold was incorrectly named; the name is now dontCPUAutoCancelIfAboveThreshold
  • Resolved issue that could cause a system slowdown due to a failure to clear the event queue file on systems that were not connected to a Report Generator
  • Resolved issue that could cause Bonjour to timeout before the network stack was fully configured after a system start or wake; this could prevent the power on or wake event from being sent to a Report Generator until some other event that didn’t timeout was successfully sent
  • Resolved issue in the Power Save Assistant that could cause Service Names to be duplicated in the Service Name dropdown list
