So many words of praise at Collectorz web-site, so little efficient work.
Free "Trial" version doesn't allow any kind of search - it "writes" only: "Invalid license key"!
Well, if I would like to try before I buy - then the app has to allow me to do that.
If I have to write artist name and album title in order to search and to get the right info - thank you very much! I could write everything else as well, without any "help" of this app.
Why Amazon and Collectorz to be sources of search only?
Amazon is very modest in informations and very modest in sellections. About Collectorz nobody has sufficient information, I presume (it is absolutely unkown to serious collectors of music)!
Last but not least - Gracenote CDDB in iTunes is working much better and faster and more efficient - I am sorry to write this, but I think the developer is very well aware of it.
I am talking about huge problem just with one classical CD (well known composer, well known conductor and orchestra, published in last 12 years, simple, with 4 tracks - three symphonic movements and one symphonic picture...) which I tried to import into Music Collector and - it didn't work at all!
So, my humble advice is: less emails to clients, less "big" words, less asking for money before it works exactly as it is written to work, many more thinking and more serious work.
By the way, I have serious doubts that Music Collector works seamless even with barcode scanners (although I haven't tried this option)?!
Now, here is the recent situation (I'll use quote from my email to developer):
"...ME: Now, I am confused! Your sentence: "...Our records show that you own Windows licenses for Comic Collector 4 and Book Collector 6, purchased a couple of days ago...", shows that even your business application for recording cutomers is doing wrong.
ME: Well, I've NEVER EVER PURCHASED anything from you (your web site), and for eight years I am Mac person - so, it couldn't happen I've purchased the above mentioned apps (in Windows version), neither "...couple days ago...", nor ever for sure!
What to say and not to upset you and not to diminish efforts you are making - if you cannot keep track and record of your customers, how I can trust your app for keeping track and record of CDs, DVDs, books (not to mention money)...!
And, to be honest, you didn't reply to my essential question: How to try before I buy if it doesn't work in a way you promote it?
I assure you Amazon and especially Collectorz with "...millions of CDs in it...", they both don't work for you. And your sentence: "we used GraceNote years ago, but we decide to create our own CD database instead. We don't like to rely on 3rd parties", force me to think - by the way, isn't Amazon a 3rd party and you rely on it still (UK, US, Germany, Japan...)?!
Fell free to make any comments either on my letter, or on Music Collector app.

TYPE in your music? why not scan with your isight like delicious monster? and pay for separate apps for all your various media (dvd's, books, etc.) when you can do it all in one app like DM? i'm not even going to bother downloading this.
or, better yet, use the definitive discography on the web for free: discogs
