Product Description:

The list of features is growing day by day. Here are the most important ones:
  • Easy overview of any mach-o binary.
  • A disassembler that does a lot of work for you. If you know otool, or ht, you will be suprised, how much more information Machonist will present!
  • Examines and processes Objective-C information to ease the work with everyday Cocoa binaries.
  • No need for Terminal.app. class-dump, otool and ht are great but on an Apple Mac you should be free to use a nice GUI.

What's new in this version:

  • All references to symbols, strings listed in new window.
  • fewer parts are declared as "anon" functions.
  • Really daring string guessing from data.
  • Some branch target addresses were completely wrong! Fixed now. Hopefully this was the last bug concerning branches.
  • Reworked conditional branches.
  • Re-opening a closed file works now, same with "recent documents".
  • More Obj-C Info processed (Categories), better analysis of Obj-C methods.
  • Fixed a bug that causes a crash when loading bad Mach-O files.
  • Demangling C++ Function names using libiberty.
  • Save Patchfiles as XPF (eXchangeble (XML) Patch File) without comments, etc.
  • Fixed some more minor bugs.

One side note though, .10b shows a version of .09a

It hogs up all real memory and when it is using >750Mb (of my 1 Gb)it crashes!

Each update makes this tool better and better! A unique file editor and disassembler that helps make Terminal look the like the pathetic DOS wanna-be it is.

This tool has so much power & potential it's gonna leave HexEdit & Resorcerer in the dust at this rate!

Worked for me flawlesly with Tiger 10.4.7 on an older PPC!

Keep up the great work Max Große, your a genius for putting a GUI to a horrible command line nightmare!
