...cannot use this software anymore because Pandora is not available to non-US citizens any longer. Too bad!

Songs do not progress when window is minimised - Version: 1.0.12, 4/7/2007 03:10AM PST

Hi,
This is a great app! The only issue I've encountered so far is that when a station is selected, the songs don't progress from one to the other when minimised. The song playing when minimised will continue to play, then finish, then silence. When the window is brought back up, the station progresses to the next song.
Thank you!
Stephen

The developers have fixed the bug which would spawn a new advertising window in the user's default browser and steal focus (yeah!) only I didn't know about this until today (two months later). I had to stop using Pandoraman because that bug was so annoying -- I just stumbled upon this new and improved version by chance. I would therefore like to request an automatic update preference to be added to the next version.
It would also be nice to have an adjustable GUI window since I have quite a few stations and would like to access them quickly, without having to use the scrollbar.
My third and most important feature request would be to have more indie stores to choose from to make a purchase, not just Amazon or the iTunes store! Please, I beg you! I would love to see Touch and Go Records, for example, who distribute Cocorosie and Calexico (among many other excellent bands), also Team Love (who released Craig Wedren of Shudder To Think's latest album), Matador Records (Interpol, Cornelius, Pretty Girls Make Graves, New Pornographers), Kill Rock Stars (Elliot Smith, The Decemberists), Subpop (Nirvana's first label, The Shins, Jeremy Enigk and many more). All of these great bands are available on Pandora, so why aren't the fans able to buy directly from their labels so the artists can get fairly compensated for their hard work?
Don't get me wrong, I love Amazon, but I hardly ever buy music there. 90% of my music purchases are made directly from the indie label's website of my favorite bands. The other 10% will go to used cds on Amazon and zero goes to iTunes because:
1) I refuse to buy low quality, lossy mp3s
and
2) I refuse to support the RIAA.
If Pandora and Pandoraman offered direct links to the indie labels' shops, they could also get fairly compensated for all of the great new bands they're turning me on to.
Thanks for making this fantastic application!

Quality app. Allows me to listen to music without having to babysit Pandora; just what I needed. Now I can work, or leave the room, or let it run while I drift off to sleep.
There's a small bug that makes my default browser (Firefox 1.5.0.8 and Firefox 2.0) spawn a new advertising window and steals focus when I'm surfing online whenever I rate a song. If this is not a bug, but something built into PandoraMan to help generate ad revenue for Pandora, then it's failing miserably. It just makes me want to not rate the songs to avoid the advertising, then nobody wins.

I love this app and I love Pandora. Thank you for this.
However, this latest version has a small bug in it that I hope gets fixed in the next release. This never used to happen in the older versions, but if you use Pandora's menu to try to search for a song in iTunes Store, instead of opening a browser window to redirect you to iTunes, it attempts to open the URL inside the mini window, which effectively stops the music from playing and goes nowhere (stalls). You have to quit and relaunch Pandoraman to get it going again. It's annoying, but not a show stopper. I just hope they address it sometime.

Sure it works well, but what it ultimately does is remove Pandora's advertising and display its own instead. Thus stripping Pandora from the revenue ad views would provide them. And generating revenue for this (unlicensed) software maker.
not cool.
not cool.

PM does it's job perfectly. It's simple and easy and tackles the problem of Pandora not advancing songs when it's not in an active tab or minimized. I just open PM and hide it, and I'm good to go.
but.
there are no updates, it's apparently undeveloped.
and i'd like to see some improvements.
it opens my browser to validate my account if not every time, every other time. then i have to wait for the browser to practically load Pandora before i can close it and just have PandoraMan running
