Address Book to CSV Exporter - Outlook Error - Version: 1.3a, 11/9/2008 09:40AM PST

Just a note : After transferring your CSV file to a P.C. you may get the following error when attempting to import it into Outlook 2003.
"A file error has occurred in the Comma Separated Values (Dos/Windows) translator while initializing a translator to build a field map."
The CSV still needs to be formated in "ANSI" format in order to get it to import properly into Outlook. (AB2CSV uses Unicode big endian by default) Get details here.

Thank you for this little gem of an app! It did a perfect job of putting my Address Book fields into the GMail contacts. I use Plaxo and right now there is no two-way sync between Plaxo and Google, so I keep my addresses updated by periodically importing them from my Address Book instead. Bravo!
I experimented with 3: "Adddress Book to CSV Exporter", "Address Book Exporter", and a shareware "Export Address Book 1.5". The shareware costs $12.
Between the two freeware, this one, "Adddress Book to CSV Exporter", is by far the best. The test seemed to me to be complex entries, with multple phone numbers and email addresses, notes, and custom fields. The older (2002) "Address Book Exporter" never got it right and dropped all kinds of information.
"Adddress Book to CSV Exporter" performed flawlessly on a Gmail import. I could find nothing that it lost. Excellent software, free or otherwise.
And... as if that were not enough... it even has a Klingon mode. Boy, i bet Antonio Lore is a fun date.
