Since iweb08, at some point, 2.3 stops working for me and 2.4 does not work either, under the latest Tiger.

iwebsites is great but IWeb08 updater undid me - Version: 2.21 beta, 10/8/2007 07:23AM PST

I never experienced Iweb06.
I purchased IWeb06 about four months ago and after investigating various solutions to 'single site' fixation of Iweb08, I downloaded iwebsites and never had a problem again. Thank you, thank you, to the developer.
About three weeks ago, Apple itself (no other company) offered a free updater to Iweb08, and since it came from Apple, I didn't hesitate to download and install it.
Life, perhaps ILife, but definitely Iweb08, has been everylasting heck since.
I was wondering whether the masterful creator of iwebsites would have to update, as he did to meet the different configurations from IWeb06 to IWeb08.
However, iwebsites still worked before. Pages I created in Iweb08 went loco, loco, loco.
Every page stared up with a window that said I did not have fonts installed that I used on the site. Mainly, various 'Futura' fonts. Thing is, I had been careful to use only Mac/PC web frontly fonts from Iweb08, only about eight of them.
Then, many links on the uploaded site disappeared, when they had worked before.
Via Iweb08, I painstakingly re-created every single website on the pages, a semi humorous one called "http://fredsforfredthompson.com" or net or org. I used the site to take off on all the disrepect we 'freds' get cuz none of you guys, and certainly ladies, called us by our given name, 'frederick.'
That's another story. Now, the links lead to empty pages, and it is nearly difficult to upload sites. I used a delete apps program to delete iwebsites, updated iweb08 again, called up the site I wanted only in iweb, and still I couldn't upload it, getting 'publiser error' over and over again.
Do I have to delete the update and Iweb08 and relaunch it.
I received a fright today when I could find only one of the four websites I creaed with Iweb08 after updating the program.
ANY SUGGESTIONS! Help. Thanks.

Wonderful app

Why Apple did not include this function is a mystery to me. That this app exists is a super treat. Makes working in iWeb a way better experience.
What would I do without iWebsites

I been using this app. since day one and it just keeps getting better. I cannot image doing without it as I have several websites. I understand that the author is working on a way to drag and drop pages from one site to another. In the meantime I am able to add one or two pages from one site to another by duplicating the site, deleting the unwanted pages and then merging the remaining ones with target site. A bit long winded, but it works. The author really ought to charge for this app. I have donated to his marathon efforts and hope he survives this to continue development of iWebsites

The merging feature is amazing. However, it took over an hour to merge one site on my Intel Macbook, and the pages in the resulting site had the spaces between words removed. I guess it's a bug.

re link media assets - Version: 1.1, 8/14/2006 10:44PM PST

hi so, i just tried the 1.1 and have been able to split apart the sites....that part was painless and actually very rewarding. I am so glad someone finally figured it out, however I noticed that some of my assets have gone missing or are no longer there. There are a place markers instead with a ? mark. My question is ---is there an easy way to relink them to original media without having to actually rebuild the entire site?
Since the (?) doesn't say the names of the files, I would have to go and find them and essentially delete the old ones and add the new ones.

Excellent!!

This little app makes up for a huge shortcoming in iWeb. I have two iWebsites. one that I upload to my .Mac account and one that I upload to another hoeting provider. Uploading both sites to .Mac seemed to be so redundant and was frustrating. iWebsites lets me put my sites where I want. Thanks for such a great app!!
Rats...

I've been following and testing development since it first appeared on the versiontracker radar a little more than a month ago, with mixed luck. But version 1.0 seemed to work quite well. I was finally able to split my iWeb's 5 different sites into separate files, since they did not all go to the same place. This makes keeping the RSS feeds correct as well, as iWeb's output to a folder only allows for a single RSS URL to be applied. That's the good news.
The bad news is that I replaced 1.0 with the latest 1.1 and now it seems to be broken. Some of the buttons freeze the application: New Site, Default, Delete, and Open Now are all broken. Only the Duplicate and Rename buttons continue to work correctly. Selecting any of the other buttons freezes the app and it stops responding. The conole shows just that the button was selected and there seems to be nothing to report at that point, just stops functioning, as if those buttons are just dead ends.
I can't find an preference file for iWebSites, so deleting the sitenames.xml file in Application Support does no good either. Next launch and it's recreated instantly, and the same problems occur.
