Product Description:

nView is a simple application utility for viewing, editing, searching, sorting and printing character-separated textual tabular data.

Either use "Open..." from the File menu or drag a file into the application main window list view. The file format should be a plain text file (multiple encodings supported) and consist of lines of character-separated items.

Use the Preferences window to specify CSV or TSV, or specify another character separator. The lines must be separated by carriage returns (CR), line feeds (LF) or both (CRLF).

nView is a member of the Limit Point Software Utilities Bundle : http://www.limit-point.com/Utilities.html. Purchase a Utilities password to activate all the utilities, including nView. Upgrades are always free, new utilities are always included!

What's new in this version:

If you want a quick peek at flat delimited files, this works pretty well. The ability to change encoding on the fly is handy. It even handled a big, ugly survey file I threw at it.

I know it's just a little utility, but an interesting direction for it to go might be increased ability to view and correct corrupt flat files, since that's usually why you want to look at a file--there are extra/missing commas, quotes, CR, etc.

Definitely worth looking at if you analyse data and need to get under the hood sometimes.
