Product Description:

JABMenu is a convenient and intuitive way to utilize your Mac OS X Address Book data through a system-wide menu. The application provides quick access to your contacts' phone numbers, email, IM, & postal addresses, URLs, and notes. Selecting a menu item will trigger an action such as displaying the content in large type, copying it to the clipboard, creating a new email, dialing the phone, or showing an address on a map using any of several online mapping services.

What's new in this version:

Added support for subgroup members in group menus.
Fixed a bug that prevented data actions other than the defaults from working with the contact menus in the lookup window.

I love this app. Been using it since version 1.0. However, it brings my system to a crawl whenever I make a change in AddressBook. I’ve got some 1,200 addresses and each time any modification is made to the AddressBook JABMenu takes some 5-10 Minutes to update... during which time it is not responding and taking up some 40-70% of CPU. Written to the author about this and hope the problem will be eventually fixed.

I like the idea and it fit a need for me, but I get the spinning beach ball for 40 seconds to 3 minutes to activate the drop down menu. Granted, I have @ 1500 contacts in Address Book. This might work for people with fewer contacts.

With the user options available, I believe this is the finest utility of its kind. Very clean and attractive presentation of Address Book data.
