OK with 3170 - Version: 2.77A, 4/8/2006 04:52PM PST

Works fine with a model 3170. Not certain what all the complaints about this software and hubs are about. Scanners are notorious for not working with hubs. Even some printers (similar engineering situation) don't work with hubs. It also helps to buy a high end hub like the one that Griffin sells for digital music. I've had five or six hubs and never had complete success with any of them with a variety of devices. Right now my 3170 is plugged directly into my Cinema display. It formerly worked connected to a USB (wired) keyboard. No more. So what else is new about USB connections?
So (based on a tip from another version) I launched Apple's Activity Monitor utility and quit the Epson Scan and Epson Scanner processes.
Then I ran the installer again and uninstalled it, and then I reinstalled it (custom selecting only my scanner model).
The Epson Scan application still doesn't work, but the Photoshop Acquire plugin does work now.
Image Capture has always worked in Tiger, but it doesn't expose all the features of the Epson Scan module.
