Product Description:

This patch is intended to patch the recently discovered javascript bug that results in the chat window scroll-bar to snap back to top position every time a new message is received if webkit 522+ is installed on system (part of Safari 3.0.x). This patch also updates the smilies to include the latest versions of the first 79 smilies to match more 3d appearance of latest PC releases. However, it does not include any of the new smilies added after #79. *Note: Although Yahoo! Released a r3 and r4 of Yahoo Messenger for mac software, no changes were made to app itself. Just changes and fixed typos in the EULA shown when you mount the .DMG. The App version is still 3.0b1r2.

Note: If you have trouble applying patch you either have first revision of app or it has been modified somehow over time. Patch a fresh downloaded copy is recommended.

Any company that doesn't care about keeping their customers satisfied is pathetic. Any company that doesn't care about a certain sect of their populace is even more pathetic.

And anyone that shows off how pathetic companies like Yahoo really are deserves a great deal of respect.

Making yahoo! ashamed was part of intent in all honesty. These bugs are so easily fixed, that it's ridiculous they have not fixed them theirself..As for using it. All it does is changes the flag on a button i prefs from disabled to enabled since yahoo was so careless in this mistake. And adds a plist resource under plst inside fork which 10.4 and higher require for helper apps to now possess to be noticed. (10.3 and lower only required a BNDL, it prefered plst but it did also use the OS 9 desktop file for helper app locating too.)

I've really been trying to find a way to make cam requests floating windows instead of interupting ones that suspend the entire app until an answer is giving. Hopefully when I have time I will get around to figuring that out.

Well, as a general policy I don't patch software with 3rd party but this "patch" should make Yahoo ashamed.

BTW, they will merge with MSN Messenger and I am actually happy for it as a person who hates MSN services.
