I've looked at other fonts server solutions (UTS) and I can say that FontAgent Pro Server is the only solution server solution out there to manage fonts for many users. It is incredibly fast, stable, and easy to use (although I did have to spend a little time with the manual). The Directory Services is fantastic, very easy to use. I imported in all my users from my open directory in just a few seconds. The software handled our collection (35,000+ fonts) without a problem.

When we first purchased FontAgent Pro Server, we thought it was the greatest font management app/server ever. Two years later... we still use it but are much less enthused. It works, other font management clients have progressed past it, the server setup and management workflow is wonky at best (needs a UI & UE overhaul).
But the biggest problem is that the software hasn't progressed in years, updates and patches are almost non existent, the support website is completely dated and backwards. And there has been absolutely NO news regarding Leopard (10.5) support and a timeline. Leaving us to conclude that this is not a company or product dedicated to delivering dependable professional solutions. We were waiting to hear something before we upgraded our business to 10.5 - we cant wait any longer, we are moving on.
