Product Description:

"Corail 1.0" is intended for confirmed or not divers with aqualung. It makes it possible to manage simultaneously several diving logbooks with a maximum of details on each immersion. The application makes it possible to graphically represent the profiles with the various alarms recorded during the diving (ascent speed too fast, dive with decompression, going beyond the depth ceiling, gas change...). The diver can carry out the complete inventory of his equipment, recall the history of the equipment services and envisage the future operations of maintenance. The cost of the services or repairs can be consigned in the register "budget" which classifies the companies service provider according to their quality-price ratio. The list of wrecks forms a data base which gathers the principal characteristics of the buildings, the conditions of access (depth, G.P.S., land-marks), their interest as well as the history of the shipwreck.

Corail Troubleshooting ReportTemperature field problem - Version: 1.0.4, 2/17/2007 12:39PM PST

For some reason I can not get the 1.4 version to record and keep the surface and air temperatures. All the other data fields work.

It would be real nice if you could just select Metric or Imperial system of units as "bar" and "meters" are not commonly used on North American gear, and although the converter is helpful, it is far from ideal.

It would also be nice to be able to enter a little more detail about the equipment on a dive, fashioned more like our PADI book sheets. As I still rent a few things sometimes, it would be nice to record numbers of the equipment too, but these are minor things.

This is the best gui I have seen in a Mac dive program.

This is becoming a four star program!!

The application is well designed and promising. However a more usefull import option should be implemented, since the actual is cumbersome. For istance, the program should be able to import plofiles directly from CSV files. Or better, from UDCF files, that include also other dives informations and permit to import more that one dive at a time.

Corail Commentarylooks promising. - Version: 1.0.2 (20060323), 3/23/2006 09:32AM PST

this looks good and very promising -- better than what's out there for the mac and free too, merci. like the last reviewer too early to comment but look forward to development.

but still a lot of development left. a number of interface glitches -- start time cuts off for instance. the arrow keys on the bottom left dont work.

i saw no reason this must be a package install. many people myself included don't like package installers on os x -- don't know what is being installed. i used pacifist to extract directly from package.

also, and here is my big wish: i really want something i can sync with my palm pilot. i use shark point now which is close to this in completeness, but it's desktop software is Windoze only.
