Still Runs Like an Alpha - Version: 0.7.2, 1/26/2008 12:00AM PST

My experience with MPFreaker (I bought it over a year ago) has vindicated my spending $20 for it. Frequent improvements by an involved developer make using MPFreaker worth every penny I paid for it. Lyrics. Artwork. Easy to use. Rock solid (version 1.7.3).
Try it. You'll like it.

Getting better but still some rough edges

0.7.2 fixes some of the more infuriating bugs (read my earlier post if you're curious about those), but for some reason it is treating compilation albums as individual songs, which means it has to search for the same cover many times. That's a really irritating design flaw which should be fixed as soon as possible.
Also I can scarcely believe that it can't find some of my 'big name' artists, or can only find a 'greatest hits' cover. (10cc anyone?) Some of the results you get back are extraordinarily 'off the mark'.
I'd like to see the results 'as they are found' rather than all in one big batch, so that if it finds a decent cover, I can assign it right away rather than waiting for corripio to finish searching.
I can't complain about the price though! All in all, a worthwhile download.
Early Alpha would be closer to where this app is at...
