Nothing happened!! - Version: 2.4.6.1, 3/11/2009 09:19PM PST

This app needs to come with some sort of user manual. I installed it (twice), but after install it was nowhere to be found on my computer. Tried printing something as PDF and all the same old options were there but no new ones. As far as I can tell, this software doesn't really exist. Any other options? I have a really long PDF file I need to generate, & Apple's built-in option will not do it.

Super Handy!

Went to use Adobe's PDF 7.0 Virtual Printer on my MacBook today for the first time and it didn't work, returning all sorts of odd errors. As best I can see from them it's an issue with running on Intel vs PPC. My version of Creative Suite (CS2) pre-dates the Intel machines and with several other things in CS2, like Version Cue, it seems it no longer works.
Enter this handy dandy freeware driver! A breeze to install, easy to use (just select it from the printer pull-down in your print window), works great...might add a way to designate the folder but otherwise perfect! I'd highly recommend it!
Thanks!!

I can't seem to set a page size other than US Letter. I tried to use Tabloid, with no luck. And I can't set a custom page size. Has anyone else had this problem?

Does it still work with Leopard? - Version: 2.4.6, 10/28/2007 11:06AM PST

Since upgrading to Leopard and reinstalling version 2.4.6, I can't seem to add the Virtual Printer. Leopard lacks the Printer Set Up Utility, and now you can only add printers (or so it seems) while in the print dialog. I'm not sure if holding the option key down while adding a printer this way has the same effect as it did with the dedicated utility.

Can anyone detail use with non-standard CUPS? - Version: 2.4.6, 9/2/2007 04:17AM PST

If anyone out there has managed to get this to work with a CUPS.org install of CUPS (as opposed to the Apple standard CUPS install, which does work with this), could they please post instructions for the rest of us. The developer's website says manually install this and that...but that doesn't help much!
Does not work - Version: 2.4.6, 7/25/2007 04:56PM PST

Neither version 2.4.0 nor 2.4.6 workk for me.
I am using OS X 10.4.10 and cups-1.2.12
With 2.4.0 Virtual Printer appeared. I followed the installation instructions.
With 2.4.6 CUPS-PDF appeared, not Virtual Printer. I followed the installation instructions to create PDF Writer.
In all cases, when I tried to print I got the dialogue screen with the progress bar as if it were printing. Nothing showed up in the Desktop directory.
What am I doing wrong?
Is there a forum for discussing problems?

The first copy I uploaded was Intel-only. If you have a PPC machine and it doesn't appear to be working, please redownload and reinstall.
