Product Description:
Does you iTunes library lack Stars? Does it whine at not having enough shine? If you answered yes to either of those question, then you need Star! the wonder app. Star will provide you with a helpful menu item in the menu bar that allows you to see what song is playing, it’s rating, and allow you to increase or decrease the rating to suit your every whim.

- Fixed a "bug" that would require iTunes to be open if Star was open

It's funny, I probably have all the major productivity apps I need, but I'm constantly on the lookout for new apps that squeeze that extra little bit and make life just a bit more automated and efficient. Mental I guess..
I'm currently using Synergy as my iTunes remote and I have function key combos setup to rate songs as they're playing...ALT-CMD-1 for 1-star, ALT-CMD-2, etc...
However, still looking forward to trying this out...

1) Please show the name of the artist in the menu as well as the song title. I'm often curious who the artist is, and find the Star Menu easier to access than right-clicking on the iTunes dock icon
2) If iTunes isn't running, I get the error "itunes not runing" in the console.log very frequently. Aside from the minor typo, it'd be nice to not see this message displayed every few seconds. I was looking through console.log to try and diagnose a crash and had to sift through hundreds of such entries.
Other than that, I find this program basically perfect. It performs a specific function, does it well, saves me time and just generally is a great addition.
