Product Description:

backupbyplaylist is a iTunes music backup script written in applescript. You choose a folder and the script backups all your playlists to this folder. I build the same folder/playlist structure as in iTunes.

You could just start it by clicking or by adding it to your Applescript Menu.

What's new in this version:

First beta release

I did not undestand what the script does: I have just tryed to run it.
Results: now I have the entire iTune playlists backuped on an external drive.

It is impossible to know what it means to backup your playlists from the description. Does it export XML files, song list exports, or some other format? Can they be reimported into iTunes somehow and if so how?

Furthermore, the script is saved as read only, so I wouldn't dare run it without understanding first how it works and what it is supposed to do.

Good idea, poor presentation.
