Product Description:

I was quite distressed tonight to notice that one of my older Safari web archives was showing placeholders instead of the graphics I knew had been there. It seemed that Safari had decided to refresh the page content before displaying it and couldn't get to the images at their original location. WebArchive Folderizer simply extracts the entire contents of a Safari webarchive file dropped onto its icon into a new folder (with the same name as the webarchive) mimicking the original hierarchy. No attempt is made to process or update any of those contents. I needed a way to get at the embedded images and thought others might as well.

What's new in this version:

  • Massively improved performance when processing archives with a large amount of dynamic content.
  • Substantially reduced memory use, especially with a lot of dynamic content.

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2 for PowerPC, or
  • Mac OS X 10.4 for x86
  • Universal Binary

I have used a similar tool called WAFinspec for I.E. archives and was hoping to find one for new, supported browsers. Thanks!

I think you should make a similar application for IE "archive" files (WAB)

You may ask for donations of course.

Thing is, IE for Mac discontinued and no official download on MS anymore. So, if you have lots of files as a user in that format, you need to download it from THIRD PARTY which nobody recommends.

I believe there is CAB (cabinet) involved in these files and they maybe just same deal, just compressed in CAB.

Perhaps MS can give the specs?

good one. always wanted to have access to those infamous webarchives. though i highly appreciate this little app i wished it would work more reliable. the first site i tested it on, it was only capable to extract ad-related scripts and not the actual site.
