Product Description:

SOHO Calendars is the easiest way to share calendars on Mac OS X. Shared calendars, events, and to-dos show up automatically in Apple's iCal where they can viewed and edited. A change made to a shared calendar on one user's machine automatically shows up in everyone else's iCal. SOHO Calendars is perfect for managing meetings, group projects and shared to-do lists.

What's new in this version:

  • The software update system now provides additional information regarding cost and system requirements of updates
  • Fixed problems with deleting calendars, events, and tasks that were downloaded incompletely
  • Fixed problems with deleting events and tasks that have additional information attached such as attendees, etc.
  • Improved the speed of attendee auto-completion in the event window
  • Fixed crash that would sometimes occur when synchronizing an offline database to the server database
  • The software now recognizes the correct first day of the week when setting up recurring events, tasks
  • Newly created/deleted calendars now show up immediately in all calendar windows
  • Added warning in the Sync preference pane to notify user that enabling note syncing while disabling contact syncing may break note to contact links
  • Added ability to synchronize the created and modified dates for notes
  • Added the SOHO Sync version number to the sync log
  • Increased the timeout of sync sessions from 30 seconds to 1 hour to avoid dropped sync sessions
  • Made major performance optimization to the synchronization of contact and calendar multi-value data
  • Added a workaround to the Sync Services bug where sync sessions that take longer than 10 minutes to start are inadvertently dropped
  • Added a workaround for an Apple bug where cleared addresses, phone numbers, etc. cause Apple's Address Book sync client to quit mid-sync
  • Fixed problem synchronizing addresses, phone numbers, etc when the contact itself hadn't yet been synced
  • Fixed problem where some attendees attached to events showed up as "common name" instead of their real name
  • Fixed problem where adding an attendee to an event in a shared database sometimes resulted in the wrong attendee being synchronized

What you get for that much money is beyond description. I was mainly interested in the calendar function. For many months I have been looking at windows promising that this (basic) function is being worked on to be passed on to iCal then!!!! Nothing new has been added for a long time. Request mails are not answered. I feel robbed.

SOHO Calendars ReviewDon't loose time or money - Version: 5.0.5, 2/9/2006 09:41AM PST

This product is incredibly weak, and I would loose neither time nor money on it.

The calendar app is a list view for iCal, and little more; the contacts is just AB dressed up; the notes have been implemented better in other apps, and the original strength of a fully integrated personal organizer (which I have used 4-5 years) is not to be expected in a year's time, if ever; given Chronos' record of (lack of) support, I would steer clear of this product.

Sad but true.
