Product Description:

SOHO Notes is the premier digital note-taking application for Macintosh. Use it to capture, organize, and share all of your personal and workgroup information. It can store rich text, PDF's, images, files, movies, audio, bookmarks, and web archives. Synchronize notes between multiple computers, iPod's, and Palm handhelds. SOHO Notes is as equally suitable for the sole proprietor with a single computer as the small business with a few dozen networked computers. This all new note manager is based on a commercial database engine for high-performance and reliability.

Its client/server design makes SOHO Notes ideal for anything that needs to be shared such as meeting notes, confidential company documents, employee handbooks, approved company artwork and logos, product plans, marketing campaign documents, etc. Sharing notes is easy with its manageable user access privileges.

SOHO Notes ReviewSupport is non-existent - Version: 8.07, 11/19/2009 02:54PM PST

OK, see my earlier reply to the "Support MIA" post. But, just got a note from Chronos saying they are *40* days out on support replies!!

Be warned - the product is reasonably good (though the companion app "Notelife" for the iPhone is still vaporware months after it's announcement), but you will not get any support from the company.

Has anyone else noticed that Chronos Support seems to be Missing In Action? I've been trying to get a response since October 2 and have only automated responses to show for it. Has anyone had an actual response since the beginning of October?

SOHO Notes ReviewNote my Frustration - Version: 8.06, 10/18/2009 09:10AM PST

- I switched away from SOHO Notes when they made no apparent attempt to sync the Notes with anything on the iPhone even though competitors came up with products over a year ago. Now they have promised iPhone sync with 'NoteLife' but it has been vaporware since early in September. My company has submitted two iPhone apps sequentially since then and both have been approved. Version 8 claims features it doesn't have a month after release!

- Snow Leopard lets programs like Preview and Notes scan direct from a device even without a Twain driver. So far notes imports from cameras and iPhone, but not from scanners like my all-in-one HP (Preview shows how it is done.)

- Capturing a web archive two years after introducing the ability to use them as notes is still a two step process (i.e. capture with something else, then import to SOHO Notes.) The competition collects directly from Safari or Firefox.

- SOHO has let you make 'form' notes for years. Still has no way to put them in a folder and look at them in a table format, or sort/search by a form field.

- I sent an email to SOHO Support four weeks ago asking for assistance in converting my notes from a competitive product.... no answer as yet.

Note apps are a mature category on the Mac, SOHO isn't leading in very many categories here, maybe if they deliver on the promised features they can be considered a top competitor.

Maybe Version 9 will be worth the upgrade....
