Product Description:

FTPhoto is an online ordering solution for photo labs and related industries. It provides an intuitive, simple and thorough means for the lab's customer to pick image files, and create an order with special instructions. It then uploads the files and order form to the lab's FTP server. The order form is encrypted to safely convey sensitive personal and payment information.

The download links are to a fully functional demo version. The listed price provides a release version of FTPhoto that is branded with the lab's name and logo, and targeted to a specified account on the lab's server. The lab is also supplied with an application to decode the incoming orders. Additional customization is subject to quotation.

Features include:
  • Drag and drop of files and folders.
  • Thumbnail images.
  • Synchronization of price and service information with a server-side file
  • Automatic update notification

What's new in this version:

  • Re-designed interface. The main window is now larger to so the entire ordering procedure is available in a single view.
  • Fixed issues with the email notification feature, whereby FTPhoto notifies the lab (and sends a cc back to the customer) when an order is finished. The email socket will now make repeated attempts in the event of a server timeout; in testing generally no more than one re-try was necessary.
  • Fixed an issue with FTPhoto's behavior, when it was launched by dragging a file or folder onto the program icon.
  • Improved memory usage under Mac OS X 10.5 "Leopard."
  • Close button behavior on main window will now behave appropriately on each platform. On Mac, the button will not work unless no uploads are in progress, and will otherwise also quit the program. On Windows, the main window can be closed at any time, and any upload windows will remain until finished.
  • Fixed the "quit when uploads are finished" feature, which recently got broken somehow.
  • FTPhoto should now quit gracefully if it is launched while offline, when it does not have a local copy of the price and service data files.
  • Internal changes made to support future development plans.
  • Identified and corrected an issue that sometimes caused a "nil object exception" when going from the registration window to the main window.
  • Addressed issue with launch failure on some machines.
  • Mac OS X version is now ready for OS 10.5 "Leopard," though older versions are expected to remain functional.
  • Can now resume broken uploads, at the point where they left off, when connections drop.
  • Updated FTP classes.
  • Synchronizing of main and special instructions windows is improved. If the user toggles from one window to another, the user selections in the popup menus and radio buttons, that have thusfar been made, will be the same in each.
  • Fixed an issue where the user could sometimes corrupt the stored credit card data.
  • Fixed an issue where files were sometimes incorrectly handled, during a "folder" import, if the folder contained a subfolder or an alias.
  • FTPhoto now supports the following optional features, should the lab desire and support them:
