Product Description:

Lostify is a metadata tagger for MP4 videos. It runs on Mac OS X, and the tags it produces aim to be compatible with iTunes, iPod, iPhone, Front Row and Apple TV.

What's new in this version:

  • Added support for embedded cast & crew listings, a la Apple TV
  • Added support for new Apple TV-branded MP4 files exported from QuickTime
  • Fixed the Options drawer so it now correctly remembers whether it was open or closed between sessions
  • Added rudimentary support for iPhone ringtones, although iTunes 7.4.2 appears to have broken it
  • Fixed an issue with iTunes integration where some tags that were cleared out/deleted in the MP4 file remained in iTunes’ database; still happens (unavoidably) with certain tags
  • Improved error reporting/handling

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.3.9 or higher (Universal)

Have been using it but unfortunately does not have support for 64 (large files): Therefore I think metaX does this job much better

Lostify ReviewDay is off by one - Version: 0.7, 2/28/2008 08:43AM PST

Love the program but the day is off by one. If you compare your release dates in iTunes to the ones you entered in Lostify, you'll notice that the day is one day too early.

Can't wait for the artwork integration.

I've been using Lostify since early beta. I haven't found anything else that works even remotely as well. Great app and I can't wait until a few more features are added. He's listed many new features he wants to develop into this app in his release notes, and they are all great ideas. Fantastic roadmap.
