I downloaded the 1.537.370.399 bytes .dmg file to my macbook pro but it doesn't work...
a white screen and music comes up with some menu items that don't work. any ideas?

You need to download and install OpenAL from http://www.openal.org/openal_webstf/downloads/OpenAL_Installer_OSX.dmg
to get this to work on OS X versions before 10.4.
Otherwise the game just quits without an error.
