Google Earth CommentaryNo worries - Version: 4.3.7284.3916, 1/3/2009 03:27AM PST

Have given it a fair run and so far no worries.
I am using a 2.4GHZ iMac Intel Core 2 Duo running 10.5.4
All my old bookmarks are still there and accurate and, so far, I have had no crash or hang-up.
To be fair, I didn't expect to, as I have had no trouble with Google Earth at all.

Running iMac 3.06GHz - 24". Installed easily, and runs like a dream. Had no problems as previous users have reported. OK, I have only run it through it's paces for about 30 minutes, but smooth scrolling, fast response, accurate. Have rebooted several times and no hanging or crashing.

Ditched the beta and went back to 4.2 - The 4.3 does nothing but crash a lot on a souped up MBP. Unacceptable even for a beta. You can get 4.2 in the downloads page still, but they really push the beta on you on the homepage as if it's stable enough for general use or something. It is NOT.

On a G5 dual 1.8, using OSX 10.4.11, a quick tour shows no problems.

Google Earth ReviewSearch does not work - Version: 4.3.7284.3916, 7/13/2008 02:02AM PST

The search feature has stopped working on two of my macs using OSX 10.5. It is a bummer, particularly as I have paid for the pro features. No idea why it won't work, and no help from Google.

Becomes unresponsive almost immediately on my MacBook (Late 2007) under OS X 10.5.4. Force quitting is the only way out. I've tried deleting all the Google Earth prefs, but it still locks up.

Running 10.5.4 on Intel iMac. Barely launches when it crashes. Very old version (4.2.198.2451) works with all the warts since 'fixed.' Downloaded from the application's help "Check for updates". Did not indicate that update was a beta. Perhaps my expectations are set too high, but if a beta is released that does not even launch, is it worth releasing?
