Don't get sucked into the "cool factor" of their products at first glance. I went to MacWorld last year and was wooed by their "Best in Show" award. After a few months of careful contemplation, I splurged and purchased the Mini Scanner. Within 30 minutes of using the thing, I couldn't stand it. The software was horrendous and extremely clunky. The scanner fell short of expectation. I packaged the entire affair up and wrote the company asking for a return/refund. I was refused. "All sales are final" was the response I was given. On an online, sight unseen purchase? Hellllllll NO! I did not stand for this and wrote a "very strongly worded letter" to Intelliscanner Corp voicing my extreme displeasure and finally was granted permission to jump through a few hoops in order to return the item. I shipped the item and it was in their hands within 4 days. It was 8 weeks and about 20 nag emails to them before I finally received my money back. This company does not understand customer service. And their products are great in concept, but fall apart miserably in execution.
Where did the 4 star rating come from?? - Version: 1.2, 1/9/2007 09:14PM PST

As of this moment, there is only 1 review of this software, which did not give a star rating at all. Yet VersionTracker is showing 4 a star rating? What gives? I cannot rate this product as I haven't tried it, but am concerned that VTs ranking will be misleading to those that may want to try it. For now, I'll stick to Delicious Library with its support for both bluetooth barcode readers and iSight.
Wish me luck. I want my money back.
