Product Description:

MemoryMiner is a brand new application that represents the first step towards a long term goal: the creation of the world's most extensive network of first-person accounts of modern society and culture. Like all big ideas, it starts with a simple premise and a mass appeal for participation. MemoryMiner is an application used to organize and share digital media using a simple, yet powerful metaphor, namely "People, Places and Time."

At its core, are a simple set of tools for treating photos (particularly rare, "pre-digital" photos) as individual frames in a type of endless story board. The story elements are linked to each other by way of annotation layers identifying the people, places, dates and events captured in each frame. As links are made, it becomes easy and tremendously interesting to explore the threads which link people's lives across time, place and shared experience.

Over time, a set of network services will link individual MemoryMiner libraries, using the descriptive metadata to help people find these digital story elements securely and efficiently.

Registered a while ago... since then updates have been slow. This app has at its heart a nice idea... but the execution is unbelievably littered with bugs. Shame.

Sorry, i love the concept. But it doesn't integrate at all with iPhoto. I have spent years adding the very same meta date you want to us to add to your app, to make these connections happen. I can do nearly the same thing with iphoto buy simply being meticulous with the the data i have already added. I have no inclination to do it twice, even though i think your idea sounds promising.

I'm am no layman, i have spent the last 16 months cataloging images for the federal government, and after 30 secs in your app, I had no patience. Drag and drop is not the best way to classify hundreds or thousands of images.

Time line idea 4 stars
drag and drop stand alone app with no iPhoto integration, hell it doesn't even see iPhoto albums. Zero

Nice concept. As it stands its good for making story book about family life but not very useful for different groups of friends

Issues:
1) Interface bugs - Select All photos doesn't work, photos do not stay deleted, seems to be no way of tagging photos en mass - its a big hassle to enter dates and places for hundreds of photos, e.g., a trip.
2) No way of setting relationships between people in the photos, e.g., your mate and his wife or girlfriend, and then her friend etc. It will be nice to visualise some sort of relationship mapping.
3) Haven't figured out how to personalise meta data.
4) For some reason drag/drop photos from iPhoto or IvewPro sometimes drop the preview image, and rotation is not preserved. very annoying.

It's seems expensive for what it does right now.
