Product Description:

This program serves a very specific and minimally useful purpose, to provide access to the Apple iPod's elusive .ithmb photo library. These files can be found in the /Photos/Thumbs directory of an iPod Photo that has been synced to contain a photo library. This program reads the file containing the largest images, 720x480, which are intended for external video devices. You can view the images full size one at a time and save them to your harddrive one at a time. Alternatively, you can autosave the entire library as a set of individual files to your harddrive.

What's new in this version:

Added 1/7/06: You can now autotransfer the entire library to the hard drive with a single command.

Keith's iPod Photo Reader ReviewWorks, but not elegant - Version: 1.1, 1/26/2006 11:05PM PST

It does convert .ithmb files to .pict files but the interface and functionality are both minimal. I could not get it to open a folder of .ithmb files, even after renaming the files as specified in the Read Me file so I had to open them individually. But this is still better than losing the pictures altogether.
