I try this. It works well. But I think VLC is the best.
And FLV is not compatible with iPod, need to convert FLV to iPod to use FLV.

First I'd like to express my appreciation for developing in this field for OS X and making a dedicated Flash movie player.

However, all people who experience stuttering and lagging after some time with this player, try VLC 0.8.5. Even though it gives an error message when opening .flv movies, it plays them just fine and smoothly even on my 400 MHz G3. I've got no idea how they achieved this, while all other players, incl. FLV player and XinePlayer stutter or have problems with the audio. It just works :-)

FLV Viewer Reviewdoes the trick, but awfully basic - Version: 0.4, 5/27/2006 05:30PM PST

Great to be able to play saved YouTube, etc. But the following features should be standard:

resizable playback
drag-and-drop play
remembers the chosen folder between sessions
fast-forward
click-and-draggable progress bar

FLV Viewer ReviewAcceptable - Version: 0.4, 5/27/2006 08:03AM PST

Pres!
The good thing is that it play the files I've thrown at it, but there are a few caveats:

• Its method of scanning a folder instead of handling files in a normal manner is profoundly inconvenient.

• It doesn't accept files dropped on it, and .flv files assigned to it in the Finder's Get Info panel receive no icons.

• It can't handle Japanese filenames, not only displaying them as gobbledegook in its list, but also refusing to play them until they're renamed.

If the author would give it a normal user interface and let it access files like a regular application, this would be convenient to use. As it is, it's just useable.

FLV Viewer Reviewwould be too expensive at half the price. - Version: 0.4, 4/22/2006 03:23AM PST

Do the math. Not worth the price of a download. MPlayer 1.0 DOES work.

FLV Viewer Usage TipWorks nicely... - Version: 0.4, 3/30/2006 01:51PM PST

I have an earlier version that works quite nicely. I somehow deleted the newest and when I went to download it again it seems the site has exceeded the bandwidth limit. I looked around and couldn't find a mirror. Anyways, it appears the latest version of Mplayer OSX also plays flv files (both youtube and google). Hope the site is back soon!

FLV Viewer ReviewIt works great and it's free - Version: 0.4, 3/26/2006 06:48PM PST

I've been looking for a flash player since getting Greasemonkey for Firefox (it lets you download FLVs from youtube.com). While I had to add .flv to the downloaded file, it worked great. Sure the interface is non-mac, but who cares? It works and it's free.
