Product Description:

Meteor Storm is a fast-paced arcade shoot-'em-up somewhat similar to arcade classics such as Galaxia and Tempest. The object is to fly through levels, shoot enemy spacecraft, avoid asteroids, and slip past an optional second player to catch power-ups. The game is complemented by smooth graphics and effects, stereo sounds, and configurable controls.

What's new in this version:

  • Fully compatible with Mac OS X Jaguar! (10.2.x)
  • Analog joystick support with Z Sculpt's new input device software for Mac OS X, HID Wizard!
  • New preferences dialog design.
  • Restored window mode functionality.
  • Restored window minimize functionality.
  • Confirmation is now required while quitting in mid-game.
  • High color (16-bit) mode for OS X is always on now.
  • Many internal bug fixes and core application changes.

actually not related to Zsculpt and Ambrosia does, in fact, charge for their version of Maelstrom (Just search for it on ambrosiasw.com - Doh!). The free version is from a Linux open source guy they gave the source to.

when starships bump into each other is hilarious! And this simple game has nice graphics and sounds - worth the download.
