MrDrum CommentaryTwo quick feature requests: - Version: 1.61, 10/10/2006 06:32PM PST

ONE: Let the closed high-hat sound turn off the open high-hat sound. That way an open-hat will stop when the next closed hat sounds. In drummer-speak they call it a "pea-soup" (like how it sounds).

TWO: Let the user change the number of beats and how they are subdivided. Let us set anywhere from 2-12 beats, also let us subdivide the beat into either 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 subdivisions.

An easy way to do this would be to have a grid that is up to 60 steps wide. Then let the user determine how many steps is a beat, and maybe have some little way of determining when the endloop point is (even if it is a partial beat).

I like the simplicity of the program. But I think it could be developed into a very useful little metronome utility!!!

MrDrum CommentaryWhy does it have that horrible chime - Version: 1.50, 1/10/2006 05:31AM PST

when you start or stop? Am I missing some facility to switch it off because I expected to find it in Preferences but there aren't any? The developer obviously has knowledge of hardware & software musical instruments but I can't imagine why they think this will be a useful feature in their app.

Midi file export is a very useful feature, but the app as a whole would be better if patterns could be extended to at least two bars long.
