Pause: Monitors almost any task, sleeps/shuts down/restarts when task is completed.

Pause is really all you need. It is far more powerful than Mac Shutdown X, and freeware. No comparison. If you want something better than Safari's pitiful download manager, then give iGetter a shot. It's shareware, but you can use it for free, just by waiting a few seconds and clicking a widget at the splash screen.
