SWF Movie Player CommentaryPlays f4v's if you rename them .flv - Version: 3.8.20.6241, 7/18/2009 09:46PM PST

Rault
The other two FLV players here couldn't recognize my Adobe CS4 files that were named .f4v (compressed with h.264 / aac). This player could! I did have to rename the file .flv for it to work. This same trick did no good on the other two (FLVthing and FLVplayer).

This one rocks, has scrub controls, and is much more mature-feeling. And it's free!

SWF Movie Player ReviewCalls out to 8 different addresses, & it's unstable - Version: 3.8.17.6225, 4/28/2009 11:39AM PST

Every time I start it up Little Snitch informs me that the free version of SWF & FLV Player is calling home and to 7 other addresses! That is simply unacceptable. In addition, twice it has become hung up during this process (even after I instructed Little Snitch to allow all those callouts) and I had to force quit it. It's just too buggy, and it calls way too many third parties in its startup process. I just had to uninstall it.

SWF Movie Player ReviewSwift support - Version: 3.7.15.6206, 5/21/2008 03:15PM PST

Yesterday I wrote Eltima that downloading movies from YouTube did not work in Mac OS 10.4.11 (PowerPC) with the version published that same day. The next day Eltima contacted me, announcing a new debugged version. And indeed the version 3.7.15.6206 of SWF & FLV Player functions like a charm again.
