Product Description:

The SMS Mac Scripting Application makes it possible to send an SMS (text message) from an AppleScript. Several example scripts are included. One example shows you how to combine an SMS with an event in Apple iCal.

On a Mac OS X server, you can use it to send the system administrator an SMS alert when a certain condition occurs.

What's new in this version:

You can now define a separate email address to receive your delivery reports. Just say in AppleScript:

set report email to "john.doe@gmail.com"

Also, since version 2.0 the app supports Group SMS, meaning you can send an SMS to several mobile numbers (a list) with one command

Excellent AppleScript dictionary. Good use of new documentation features. Compact, useful Object Model. Just one verb, the value-added "send". Hits all the right design points. A good example of a good example. And, of course, I love that it's a faceless app, and not a Scripting Addition.
