Product Description:

Movie Sync allows you synchronize audio and video in QuickTime movies. You can also synchronize other QuickTime readable media, such as AVIs, MPEG-4, and, with appropriate codecs, even WMVs. (Results are always saved as a QuickTime movie; MPEG-1 and 2 cannot be synchronized at this time.)

Movie Sync has been designed to be incredibly easy to use.

  1. Open a movie.
  2. Play the movie. (It is usually best to begin where synchronization is worst, which is often near the end of the movie.) When you see & hear a spot where the audio and video are out of sync, hit return. The portion of the movie just played will loop over and over again.
  3. Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to adjust the audio until it is in sync.
  4. Hit return to accept the sync point.
  5. Find a few more points to synchronize.
  6. When you are satisfied, choose “Save As… from the file menu to save a new new, synchronized, QuickTime movie. Don't delete your old movie, just in case!

If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, you can use that for an even easier experience!

Warning! This is beta quality software. It contains known bugs and has not been extensively tested, so it probably contains plenty of unknown bugs as well. Movie Sync ReviewLeopard - Version: 1.0, 11/11/2007 02:12PM PST

runs great on Leopard PPC.

I only have a 1Ghz G4, so when syncing, the loop feature is a little jumpy. (the video jumps around) but it is still possible to use, and the synched movie came out perfect.

Movie Sync Developer NotePlease submit bug reports to us - Version: 1.0, 4/3/2006 08:06PM PST

3AM Coffee Software
You are of course free to post negative reviews, but we ask that you PLEASE also submit bug reports (or complaints of any sort) to us (3AM Coffee Software) directly.

We assume that you are posting reviews to help other prospective users of the product. It is even more helpful for you to get a bug fixed rather than just complain about it. There is often no way to reproduce or fix a bug with the short reviews posted here, but if we have your contact information we can request additional information. That helps us, but it also helps you and helps your fellow users.

The Read Me (and our web site) contains information on how to contact us and how to provide enough information that we can take a crack at fixing a bug or improving our product.

Movie Sync CommentarySeems to be a good start. - Version: 1.0b1, 12/19/2005 01:47PM PST

I encountered no bugs that were not already listed in the release notes. Syncing a H.264 MP4 file was processor intensive, although effective. (It took me a while to figure out which direction to move the adjustment.) A combination of the arrow keys and a scroll wheel is rather effective. I wasn't able to preview any new video after my first sync edit; unsure if that's by design, a bug, or just the nature of the particular file I was editing.
