Alas, another update needed - Version: 1.5.1, 6/14/2009 09:25PM PST

SafariPlus has been the easiest way to control Safari's cookie proliferation. Everything was going well, until Safari 4.0, system OS v10.5.7, and Intel. Mr. Developer, you fix it, and I'll donate.
1.6a1 working here - Version: 1.5.1, 2/10/2009 12:37PM PST

The bundle had to be in /Library/InputManagers/ (not in ~) and chowned and chmodded (along with SafariBlock.) Although it works, the Flash blocking isn't really useful as designed. It would be nice to be able to set a whitelist of sites that it's okay to receive Flash from, like YouTube, FunnyOrDie, etc. and block all the rest. Or, conversely set blacklists like always block Flash from doubleclick, *.ru, etc.
1.6A1 blocks Flash video - Version: 1.5.1, 12/20/2008 09:37AM PST

The cookie management part works OK, but somehow Flash video (Youtube etc) does not start playing; I have to ctrl-click, and select something from the popup, then go back to the Youtube page. When I drag the SafariPlus folder to the desktop, Flash is OK.
My combo:
OS X 10.4.11 (fully updated)
Safari 3.2.1
FlashPlayer 10
SafariPlus 1.6.A1

SafariPlus 1.6.A1
Does not seem to work with 10.5.5 & Safari 3.2.1

Great concept but simply not compatible with latest Mac OS and Safari. Tried all the suggestions such as using the 1.6a1 version, placing in the main library and resetting permission, but still did not work. My rating is for MacOS 10.5.5 running Safari 3.2.1

Using v1.6a1, OS X 10.5.4, and Safari 3.1.2. SafariPlus SEEMS to work (using at my own risk), but permissions have to be set correctly, since it appears that InputManagers in Leopard need to owned by root, not the user.
1) You have to install it in /Library/InputManagers, NOT ~/Library/InputManagers. Figure out a way to create an InputManagers folder in /Library with the proper permissions, or first install an officially supported InputManager like SIMBL (from the PithHelmet installation) which will create this folder.
2) You have to use sudo chown -R root:admin to change the owner/group of the SafariPlus folder and all its contents. I don't exactly know if you have to change everything, but I basically tried to match the settings of the SIMBL input manager files, where everything was owner/group root/admin.
After this, it seems to work. I think something like PlugSuit may be able to help as well, maybe with less trouble, but I didn't try that. Also, I have read reports that even with the hack, it may interfere with other Input Managers. In my case, I notice that SafariPlus seems to interfere with the ability to toggle where PithHelmet puts its menu. Your mileage may vary.
It certainly looks like the capability is there, though, if only the developer can iron out the details and get a new installation package out there!

... until I updated Safari to 3.1. Overall, I've been very impressed especially to block those flash ads that take up half the screen when you mouseover them (I hate those). I'll be looking forward to the new version so I can use it again.

While still Tiger compatible, remains a "no go" for Leopard.
Developer's site has said Leopard compatibility - "under investigation". Must be some kind of investigation as this notice has been on the site since Leopard's debut.
Would be helpful if Developer updated their intention for future OS X use.
This is the Cookie Manager that Safari lacks natively. Strange Apple doesn't step in and manage cookies the way SafariPlus does.

I can hardly wait for a Leopard-compatible release.
I must have it to control cookies. There is no other utility that does the job better
