SafariPlus CommentaryAlas, another update needed - Version: 1.5.1, 6/14/2009 09:25PM PST

SafariPlus has been the easiest way to control Safari's cookie proliferation. Everything was going well, until Safari 4.0, system OS v10.5.7, and Intel. Mr. Developer, you fix it, and I'll donate.

SafariPlus Commentary1.6a1 working here - Version: 1.5.1, 2/10/2009 12:37PM PST

The bundle had to be in /Library/InputManagers/ (not in ~) and chowned and chmodded (along with SafariBlock.) Although it works, the Flash blocking isn't really useful as designed. It would be nice to be able to set a whitelist of sites that it's okay to receive Flash from, like YouTube, FunnyOrDie, etc. and block all the rest. Or, conversely set blacklists like always block Flash from doubleclick, *.ru, etc.

SafariPlus Commentary1.6A1 blocks Flash video - Version: 1.5.1, 12/20/2008 09:37AM PST

The cookie management part works OK, but somehow Flash video (Youtube etc) does not start playing; I have to ctrl-click, and select something from the popup, then go back to the Youtube page. When I drag the SafariPlus folder to the desktop, Flash is OK.

My combo:
OS X 10.4.11 (fully updated)
Safari 3.2.1
FlashPlayer 10
SafariPlus 1.6.A1
