Moo ReviewI really like this but.... - Version: 1.0, 12/19/2005 07:39PM PST

The sign of software that is not quite there. I really like this but.....

1. Kind of boring. Just two cows bouncing up and down, so fast even on my old 800mhz eMac that you can’t really see them moving in 3D. It would be nice if there were some parameters to change. Like bounce time, speed, direction, behavior, etc.

2. The installer, like others I think better packaging is in order. It should not need to drop files in the places it does.

I love this screensaver, I just wish it would do more than it does.

This Quartz Composition generates custom 3D objects
a feature not yet implemented in Quartz Composer. Every file has it's place and was placed there for a reason. You would not be able to see anything if the file locations were different. Your have to wait for Apple to make this part of Quartz Composer. Until then... This is as good as it gets. I and a few others are pushing the limits of Quartz Composer http://www.quartzcompositions.com. Keep that in mind. ;)

Installs itself and two support files only to /Library/... and removal is only possible manually. At least the documentation says what goes where. Avoid until author figures out how to package this screen saver as a single file and corrects to allow installation to ~/Library/... Nothing like this should demand root-level access.
