Product Description:

I wrote No Frills DVD2iPod because I wanted a way to make iPod compatible video files from iDVD projects I had burned to DVD but for which I hadn't saved any source files. I also wanted a way to do it without having to configure many settings. Advantages of No Frills DVD2iPod 1. Drop a handful of unencrypted .VOB or .mpg files and/or folders containing unencrypted .VOB files or .mpg files (such as a VIDEO_TS folder on a DVD you made with iDVD), and all of them will be converted. 2. You can drag the source files/folders even from an non-writable directory such as a mounted DVD volume.

What's new in this version:

Increased resolution for compatible output for latest vesions of QuickTime/iTunes/iPod when Maximize button is checked.

No Frills DVD2iPod Developer NoteTest settings for No Frills DVD2iPod with MPEG Streamclip - Version: 3.0, 5/1/2006 10:06AM PST

A good application to let you test settings for No Frills DVD2iPod is MPEG
Streamclip. With MPEG Streamclip you can select a small part of a .mpg or .VOB
file by setting input and output points, and export the selection to a new file,
which you can drop into No Frills DVD2iPod. You can find a listing for MPEG
Streamclip at VersionTracker.

I encoded a few TV episodes last night to watch on a transatlantic flight today. One of them cut out seven minutes in for some reason, though the rest were perfect, hence the four star rating. It's very strange; all are around the same size (120MB or so); it seems that one particular episode was encoded as a bad MP4 or something.
