Product Description:

TopXNotes now works exactly like TopXNotes iPod worked. You can now select a choice of notes for export to your iPod. Your "iPod notes" will be placed in the Notes folder of your iPod in the same order as in your TopXNotes NoteOrganizer, and your Groups containing iPod notes will also appear on your iPod. So if you have a "Home" Group containing an iPod note, that note will be in the "Home" Group on your iPod.

What's new in this version:

MAJOR CHANGES
  • This "unity" version has significant changes so it honors all previous serial numbers for TopXNotes and TopXNotes iPod. TopXNotes iPod is now TopXNotes. TopXNotes now contains all iPod features formerly found in TopXNotes iPod.
NEW FEATURES
  • Spell Checking
  • Insert Date/Time
  • Note Info (formerly called Note Settings) now contains notation to make locating a note hiding in a Group hierarchy easier by displayed note path in Group hierarchy (in blue)
  • Note Info now contains "Number of lines" and "Number of characters" (text color green)
  • Keyboard shortcuts for View to View navigation
CHANGED FEATURES
  • iPod and QuickNotes Categories no longer trigger the "Multiple" label, but still work as expected in the Category tab of the NoteOrganizer
  • New Spell Checking preference in the Note panel
  • Double entry required for all passwords
  • Preference option to show passwords as typed. The preference only applies to a New Note when it is created. It is not tied to the menu item "Check Spelling as you type".
  • cmd+P remapped to print current note, not print all notes
  • "Note Settings" menu item renamed "Note Info" with a "cmd+I" keyboard shortcut
FIXED
  • Minor change in note loading so a note will continue to be read even if a null character is present
  • This version also will not require repeated serial number entry after free version updates.
  • Fixed issue with deleting notes with names longer than 31 characters

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.5 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.5 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.4 Intel
  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.3.9 (Panther) or higher is required for TopXNotes iPod. TopXNotes iPod also requires a newer (3rd generation or newer) Classic iPod. Apple has not used the informal "generations" terminology and it is not easy to find out about. However
  • if an iPod has an LCD and Dock connector
  • and the Apple Notes Reader is installed
  • it should work. However
  • iPod Touch and iPhone are not yes supported. We hope to present a more formal list of models in the future.

TopXNotes iPod ReviewBest way to manage notes on an iPod - Version: 1.2, 3/29/2007 07:36AM PST

theChuck
I have found TopXNotes iPod indispensable for managing notes on my iPod. The ability to sort notes into groups and categories, as well as to have multiple views with different notes in the same window side by side makes it possible to easily and effortlessly make sure the information I am sending to my iPod is exactly the information I want. Having all my notes in one place also makes it much easier to find important information quickly.
