Clockwork ReviewAfter using it for a couple days... It has some good features. - Version: 1.4.1, 1/25/2007 01:56AM PST

First of all, do not listen to Xeater's comments. He is a troll. Read his posts and all of his comments are negative bashing at softwares. Go sell your Mac and get a PC. It seems like you will be happier.

I have tried a few timers and after trying a couple of times, I would either not use it or trash it because it was not useful for my needs.

Clockwork's good user interface got me to try it for the first day. As I was using it discovering some features, I noticed that the developer but some useful thoughts into the little app.

The first feature that I really like is the easy to use multi timer. I have a West Bend multi timer and it would never buy a single timer. Clock work with multi timer. Also has good option of alarms which are effective and nicely done.

Another cool feature that is really great is even when the app quits, the running timer keeps on working. When you launch the app next time, the timer is still measuring. Nice thinking by the developer.

So if you really need a good useful timer and consider a few goodies, the price is not unreasonable. It seems like the developer has put in some good thoughts and time into the app.

The developer may consider a lower price and selling more licenses so that more people will refer the app to others with more easy to use features are added to the future releases.

My last thought is Clockwork is my favorite timer thus far. It has good user interface and useful functions which makes it useful for daily use.

Clockwork is not perfect but the developer really put his thoughtful ideas into the app which I rate this product as having excellent quality and features.

It's still got the clean interface, but it does a whole lot more. Please try it out.

As far as the price goes I guess it all depends on your needs. As a shareware developer who makes a living doing this it's not worth it (development and support time) to charge less. The first release of HBTimer cost $1.29. That didn't work. And so I'm still experimenting on price. So far higher prices have always been better, though I'm not rich yet.

The good news is that for existing users Clockwork (like all of our upgrades) is a free donation based upgrade.

Clockwork CommentaryThat's some timer - Version: 1.0, 12/4/2005 12:41AM PST

HBTimer was $10, which was a bit steep but it was a great timer. Now Hog Bay changes the name and bumps the price to $15 - I don't know if it's any better since I'm not using Tiger, but I doubt it's 150% better. All I know is, it takes great balls of steel to charge so much for an app that meters time.

For $15 I can buy a nice hand-held timer that I can set more easily, take with me so I always will hear it when it goes off, and use when I'm away from my computer (like if I'm cooking).

Sorry but a computer timer is just not worth that much money, especially since there are a butt-load of free timers that work fine. Good luck to Hog Bay, I'm sure they'll make a tidy profit since the world currently has a glut of stupid people.
