Product Description:
PreMinder is an easy to use calendar program. It features monthly, weekly, yearly and custom week views. You can store styled text and small images in your reminders, and set events to be a certain typeface or color. Other features include import and export of iCal or vCalendar files, the ability to import birthdays from the Address Book, simple drag-and-drop multi-day spans (banner events), repeating events and a fast search system. Alarms can be created for events which can be set to go off a certain amount of time before an event, or several times before an event, and they which can either alert you (Growl notification is supported), or send out emails or launch files or URLs. Please note this is a beta release.
What's new in this version:
- Software Update feature. This can check periodically for new versions of PreMinder over the Internet, and download and install them.
- Extra custom repeat event option allows an event to repeat on several ânâth weekdays of a month; for example: the first Monday of the month and the second Monday of the month. Up to eight of these repeats per month can be grouped into one repeating event. Previously eight separate repeating events would have been needed for this type of custom repeat.
- Further improvements and bug fixes to import and export of iCal and vCalendar files.

Thanks to Alec, the problem I was having was found and corrected. The back & forth feedback over the couple of days it took to find the problem was phenomenal.

Because there is a sea of numbers in the main window, at first, it is a bit distracting because it is not quite in the common wall calendar format that one is so accustomed to. Perhaps if this were slightly modified to match such, it might be easier to take in events at a glance.
Navigating inside the calendar is messy and this is the main weakness as for what I experience when I want to scroll back or forward from month to month. One can navigate using the large date tag in the upper left-hand corner but this is confusing because one is switching between working with different formats of information, which is a problem.
The "span" tool works but it is not apparent just what it does at first glance. Perhaps there might be a better way to make this more apparent than just clicking around with it as I did.
Importing ical events has some problems but I am sure the developer will work those out, thus I mention them in passing only.
A better program icon could only help (for the application).
This is a really good free-ware effort, IMHO. Well done.
