Thanks to Alec, the problem I was having was found and corrected. The back & forth feedback over the couple of days it took to find the problem was phenomenal.
Alec was persistent and determined to find and correct the problem, which he did.
Thank you for your effort in this and for creating this wonderful App.

Just wanted to post that Alec, the developer of this great app, has been nothing short of first rate in communicating with me back and forth in trying to pin down this problem I'm having.
We'll be testing it and hopefully find out what the solution is.
Thank you Alec for being so responsive and helpful!

Bug In 0.6.7! - Version: 0.6.7, 6/28/2008 09:40AM PST

Unfortunately with the release of this newest version, I keep getting my events with alarm notifications repeated over and over every minute or so. I've had to turn off the alarm function for now.
I've sent the developer a bug report and will wait to hear from him.

Like It A Lot!

Really enjoying learning and using this great app. One of the easiest PIM I've used. The ability to type in your notes and have the app recognize and assign clock times automatically to events and add them to your planner/scheduler is a nice feature. Also like the slider that lets you navigate to different months or custom set events a great time saver too.
To top off all this goodness is the built in Growl support. I can't emphasize enough how important this is. I hope more and more developers add Growl support to their apps!
Thanks for this great app and for continuing to develop it!

I currently use daychaser as my preferred calendar, and out of curiosity downloaded this app earlier this afternoon.
This has far more functionality and as the previous reviewer has stated, has a very bright future. It's easy to use, intuitive, very classy and easy on the eye. I had loads to say about it, but it's all been covered by mseiks review, even down to the request for sound reminders and a year calendar view.
Although VT shows Preminder as a Beta concept, a quick visit to the preminder website shows that this is donatioware at the moment. I'm going to throw some money at it as soon as I post this.
To Alec the Developer - this is great work - but watch it , Apple might buy this out.
It blows ical out of the water. See for yourself.

This app runs through Growl, and is responsive and more configurable than most calendar apps out there.
Upon launch there are actually multiple windows, with a control panel and note panel, both of which are dockable with the spring/pop-out action. The main window is the calendar itself, also configurable. Each note can be customized. Also, under alarms, there are several options:
Notify, which opens a window in the upper right hand corner of your computer screen with the information and fades after a few seconds;
Notify-Sticky which stays until you click;
Alarm: different interface with OK button, but pretty much the same as Notify-Sticky, although it pops in the center of the screen in front of apps
Email: enter email address you want the reminder sent to; automatically pops up your address book addresses for convenient autofill. I couldn't get this setting to work.
Open File or URL: I couldn't get this to work either.
Pester: This can be configured for any of the above actions to repeat as frequently as you like for whatever duration you prefer.
All in all, I think this app has tremendous potential.
Wish list:
Sound options with alarms/reminders
Functional email and URL alarm options in both regular and pester modes
Yearly view in calendar format rather than list format

Because there is a sea of numbers in the main window, at first, it is a bit distracting because it is not quite in the common wall calendar format that one is so accustomed to. Perhaps if this were slightly modified to match such, it might be easier to take in events at a glance.
Navigating inside the calendar is messy and this is the main weakness as for what I experience when I want to scroll back or forward from month to month. One can navigate using the large date tag in the upper left-hand corner but this is confusing because one is switching between working with different formats of information, which is a problem.
The "span" tool works but it is not apparent just what it does at first glance. Perhaps there might be a better way to make this more apparent than just clicking around with it as I did.
Importing ical events has some problems but I am sure the developer will work those out, thus I mention them in passing only.
A better program icon could only help (for the application).
This is a really good free-ware effort, IMHO. Well done.
