Product Description:

LiquidCD is a free burning Application for Mac OS X (10.5 or better).

What's new in this version:

  • This is a major release. LiquidCD has been rewritten from scraches.
  • Burned video DVDs should now work on almost any desktop DVD player.
  • Photos are now displayed faster.
  • Fixed a bug introduced in Leopard involving cue/wav and cue/mp3 files.
  • Overall stability improvement.
  • Integrated with Leopard new technologies, like QuickLook and Objective-C 2.
  • Almost anything can now be saved as a disk image (such as a cue/bin file or an ISO disk image when possible).
  • Exporting audio tracks is now faster.
  • Audio tracks can be exported at different bitrates.
  • The media browser is now in a separate window.
  • Rewritten cue parser. Now supports advanced flags, index points and multiple files.
  • Added a generic disk image reader.
  • Getting the name of a track on Internet gives more accurate results.
  • CD-Text data may now include non-ascii charcaters, the best and most compatible encoding is automatically selected.
  • Fixed a bug that reported the layout as too large for the inserted disc.
  • Added experimental support for overburning. Please read the ReadMe file before using this.
  • Introduced a new disc image format: .loxi. The specifications are open, see the help menu in LiquidCD.

LiquidCD ReviewDid NOT wok for me! - Version: 2.02, 11/20/2009 05:33AM PST

artie505
I tried to burn a data folder that I'd already successfully burned with both Toast and SimplyBurns and got the following messages:

1. Disc full at 73.0%, 518.8MB

2. There is not enough free space on the disc.

    Extra 163.2 MB are required.

519Mb is too much data for a CD?

LiquidCD Commentarycan't burn dvds for standalone players - Version: 2.0, 6/26/2008 12:09PM PST

sounds promising, but other than burn 1.7 or toast 5.x (!) liquidcd can't burn dvds which play in my standalone dvd-player, no matter which burning mode i use. liquidcd developers actually seem to be aware of this problem, judging from their forum, but a resolution is not in sight. pity.
