Product Description:

Gamepedia is a powerful cataloging application for video and computer games which allows you to retrieve all your game information from the Internet by using keywords or an iSight or a scanner for the search. Gamepedia lets you to search every Amazon site - US, UK, Germany, Canada, France and Japan - for information about your games and add links to reviews, walk-throughs and screenshots from any other site. You can keep a wish list for those games you don't own yet and a borrowed list for those you want back. To get even more organized, create smart collections that update themselves automatically whenever a new entry is added to the program. Display your collections in a table view, browse only the covers with the cover view or use the info view for a more personalized look.

What's new in this version:

  • Amazonpedia updated to handle accents in search
  • Series added to the preference autofill management
  • More matches for EAN searches on Amazon CA and DE
  • Included links as an option for text template exports
  • A collection stays selected after moved in or out of a folder
  • Bug fix: on rare occasions entries would default to Amazon US locale instead of the original locale
  • Bug fix: any collection sorted by status would cause the Pocketpedia sync to timeout
  • Bug fix: introduced in 4.3.1 some smart collections where not displaying the latest updated collection on the first click
  • Bug fix: a title of only a single double-quote when sorted would crash the program

Gamepedia CommentaryManual add issues - Version: 4.1.1, 12/27/2007 02:15PM PST

When I want to add a new game manually and look under the platform section, the Nintendo Wii is not present. When I imported my games from Delicious Library it found them all, but the option for the wii is not present when adding manually. Am I just missing something here?

Gamepedia ReviewUnfortunately limited only to Amazon - Version: 2.3.0, 12/1/2006 02:10PM PST

I'm a huge fan of this app's older sibling DVDpedia. I can't imagine managing my collection without it. Unfortunately, although very similar in design and function, Gamepedia is much more limited in that it will only check Amazon when you add games, unlike DVDpedia which culls from a variety of sources This makes entering an older collection of games a much more tedious task. With a barcode scanner I was able to enter my entire collection of over 300 DVDs in under an hour. This is impossible with my N64, Dreamcast, SNES, etc. games. They must all be done manually, and you must scan the cover art yourself.
