No support for mercury, yahoo messenger, msn messenger, skype, chat client, etc.
Does not display emoticons or other images. Does not respect original fonts, styles, and colors.
Costs $20, not worth it.
Very disappointing.

I have used other Unsanity software and I 'm happy with the performance, this is not up to their standards.
Still no support for Skype or Gizmo

Since using VoIP I’ve found myself chatting through Skype or Gizmo more often. Thing is: Chat Transcript Manager does not list any of the chats conducted through Skype or Gizmo. The app is limited to Adium and iChat. I’ve been reporting this to the developer when purchasing the application but still, some six months later, haven’t received any feedback. CTM is only useful if you’re on Adium or iChat... which is unfortunate.

This app silently installs Unsanity's "Smart Crash Reports". If you try out this app and then decide to remove it, you'll also want to remove anything it added to your ~/Library/InputManagers folder. Or you can follow the instructions at the second link.

How strange, more people use Adium than use Aim? That's the impression I get from Unsanity.
Adium may access AIM users, but can it access AIM chat rooms?

Great!

I just tried this, it is much nicer than using a python script every week to group your chats only half ass-ed.
The interface is very intuitive, and I never even had to open the help, or even looked to see if it had any.
The features are nice, I just wish it could recognize LAN iChats, as they have a different appearance and look rather odd in this. The names being user-name@computer-name and the program finds all of them under E-mail. And does not insert the address book picture for even myself. But for internet chats it works very nicely in displaying them.
The only thing that stands out, is because of the three bar layout things can become rather small. Most of the time this is not a problem, but I would like the option to open the file in a new window. As I like the speed that the app provides, and I like that I do not need iChat running to preview the chat.
I hope to register very shortly.

Excellent. If you use IM in business, this is a must!

In business, having records of conversations is valuable for memories that fade over time. We were comfortable with email because it provided a historical transcript of business conversations. IM was considered a toy for kids and not a bona-fide business tool.
Well, those "kids" have now brought that "toy" into the office and are proving it's value as a time saving communication tool. Unfortunately, to look through historic records was a real bear until Chat Transcript Manager.
Worth every penny. However, it's true potential won't be realized until it can support AOL, MSN and Yahoo IM chat transcripts directly without the use of Adium.
