Imagine you have a lot of photos in your hard drive, and have only Preview for watching them... Then someone comes with iPhoto and everythig seems to change...
Something similar did this app. for me, with regard to electronic comics. Before this, I had a bunch of cbr and cbz files that I did not how to organize, and read them with apps that add nothing to the experience. Now, with this app, I can organize and read them in an amazing way, and my love for electronic comics has increased.

It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that ComicBookLover has, but it's FREE and works great for me!!!
FYI: The .cbr and .cbz files are just .rar (cbR) and .zip (cbZ) files that anyone can easily read by decompressing them into .jpg.

A few suggestions to make it even better, though:
1) Add a keyboard shortcut for "Show Comic File" (how about "Cmd-R", to match iTunes? The 'Rotate Right' command could be changed... )
2) Add AppleScript support. I'd love to be able to create an Automator action which:
- Copies a dropped comic into my designated documents area for such files
- Opens this comic within CBL
- Adds that comic to a specified list within CBL (e.g. "To read")
- Modifies tags for that comic, based on filename, user-prompted text, etc.
All but the first step (a Finder action) cannot be automated, due to lack of script support in the app. This might be a significant development effort, but would be very beneficial to several users.
