This Spotlight importer works great (thanks, Shawn!) except this afternoon I noticed the kMDItemTitle attribute was missing for several MPEG recordings (*.mpg files). Turns out it happens when their Title and/or Episode info contains certain punctuation characters (e.g. single quote).

A workaround is to delete or change any troublesome characters in the EyeTV GUI then reindex the corresponding folder. What's mysteriously interesting is that if you revert back to the original Title/Episode and reindex the kMDItemTitle attribute shows up fine, including any troublesome characters(!)

I'm not sure how to figure out exactly which characters are causing that behavior and if it might also happen with other attributes. That's the only problem I've found.

I've been manually running the importer to bypass EyeTV Archive folders added to the Spotlight exclusions list by EyeTV software. That's fine for now since it makes debugging easier. I haven't tried removing them from the Privacy tab of Spotlight preferences to see if they return when the importer is installed.
