Product Description:
Satellite Image Browser is a Mac OS X satellite imaging application that can display and print satellite images of various geographic locations throughout the United States of America by address or zip code.
What's new in this version:
- Satellite images are now loadable via a valid U.S. street, city and state.
- Satellite images may now be printed with or without associated climate information.
- Satellite images may be directly saved to .tiff or .pdf.
- Implemented cut, copy and delete menu commands for satellite images with audio feedback.
- Implemented "Zoom Out" and "Zoom In" menu commands with keyboard shortcuts.
- Fixed printing bug that caused the program to print when cancel was clicked in the print dialog.

It would be nice to be able to adjust N,S,E, and west navigation. The images are free satellite images off the web so they're not going to be useful at all. They are Black & White, very blurry, and not close enough for any detail. You get better views by going to the original web sites. Still it's a great idea, but not worth money right now. You have to sew before you can reap. It's worth keeping an eye on.
They want money for this?

This program does two things that other programs already do extremely well. It would not be bad if this program did them well but it is far from being a program you could charge money for or even being a 1.0 release.
It is nice that you can enter a zip code to bring up a map however once that map is up you better hope it centered where you want it because there is no way to pan the map. There is a unique rotate function which sounds good on paper but watch in amazement as the big map suddenly shrinks down to a smaller size and stays that way once rotated.
I really don't know why the weather information is there. The satellite pictures were taken years ago. do I need to know that it is raining outside to view this map?
Use Apples Weather widget and the Google maps widget for much better maps. If you are looking for more function from a map program check out the program "Terrabrowser" from Chimoosoft. I have writen to the developer and he is great! The program also offers Topo maps that integrate with the current stat picture and also offers urban (better resolution color photos) views that also integrate with the main view. Plus the program acts like a Mac program should and integrates with GPS units. Cool!
Sat image browser needs lots of work and asking for money in is current state in an insult to users.
